Advertising / Copia / Italian Month
Italian month was one of Copia's biggest attractions. Ads like these appeared in regional publications like Diablo Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Contra Costa Times.

Brochures / Alkar
This three-panel brochure was developed to update Alkar’s image and message, and complement their new website design.

Data Sheets / American Masters of Taste
To create 25 client-specific data sheets for American Masters of Taste’s website and email program, we contacted all of their clients for input and approval, designed pages, wrote copy, and gathered and cropped images. We go the extra mile to serve customer needs.

Direct Mail / Copia postcards
We resolved the issues of a tight budget and events happening close in time by creating these oversized postcards, which allowed promotion of two events for the price of one mailing

Editing / John Muir Health
Non-profits are often particularly short-handed, and can often be too close to the project for an objective final review. We edit their copy for sense, consistency, grammar and punctuation, and cut it to fit when required. We utilize (or can help write) corporate style guides, and are proficient with the Chicago Manual of Style and AP Style.

Invitations / Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco
We specialize in invitations for events, and accompanying collateral (programs, table tents, signage, etc). This happy event celebrated the Youth of the Year.

Logos & Identity Systems
Our designers “go deep” to learn about clients’ identity, then develop logos and associated
usage guides.

Newsletters / Davis Chamber of Commerce
This electronic newsletter needed freshening up to complement a new website design and cut clutter to enhance legibility. It was also designed to give the client the ability to lay out each monthly issue in-house, saving some money and gaining schedule control.

Programs / CCC
Programs for events are tricky animals: copy and images come in haphazardly and usually change at the last minute. We organize and proofread copy, and keep on top of changes as well as produce a piece that is easily navigable and reflects the event theme.

Program Calendars & Catalogs / Copia
Varying from 24- to 32-pages, this quarterly four-color program calendar enticed visitors with special food, wine, garden and art programs.

Public Relations / John Muir Health
As John Muir Health’s public relations resources were limited, we took on the promotion of their special “Topping Off” event, including a press release, follow-up day-of-event release, and phone contact with all local media to encourage attendance. Among the results: a 7”x5” 4-color image above the fold on page three of the Contra Costa Times.

Special Projects / Napa Valley Vintners
This educational project was a labor of love for two oenophiles! It was designed from scratch to be used by wine educators to teach consumers and industry professionals about the legendary wines of the Napa Valley. It included: a pine box with special closures and label to contain materials; eight two-sided laminated 17 x 11 sheets with information about Napa Valley’s AVAs, geology, climate and rainfall; a sheet containing nine samples of soils representative of Napa Valley’s over 100 varieties; and a three-dimensional contoured map of the valley showing AVAs and topography. Complementary pieces included a business-card-size “Fun Wine Facts” card and a postcard.
